Penetrating Emerging Markets: Huatengyi Supports Bulk Export of Retired Ride-Hailing Vehicles to West Africa

14 May , 2026

Nigeria’s soaring fuel prices created an urgent need for low-cost electric cars. A client aimed to export 50 units of retired ride-hailing vehicles (e.g., BYD Qin EV) from China. Execution: Huatengyi used a “Light-Asset” matchmaking model to help the client procure vehicles at low cost. To counter high financial risks in Africa, we enforced a “30% Deposit + 70% Balance against B/L Copy” or full prepayment model. Advantages: This model relies on scale rather than high margin per unit. With low unit prices (20k-40k RMB), the capital turnover cycle is short. Precautions: African ports often face long clearance times. Huatengyi assisted in deep exterior reconditioning before shipment to prevent corrosion during prolonged sea transport and port storage.
